The summer lunch program at Snell Tower Recreation Center is a wonderful thing. Lansing community schools sponsored this for all children in the area for free. Any child is welcome to come Monday through Friday from noon to 1 p.m. just to eat a balanced meal. They do not have to be a part of the program or stay for the day. Parks and Recreation Specialist Greg Grothous says the children are thankful for the lunches provided to them. Best of all they get to go inside the recreation center to eat their lunch and cool off from the hot summer sun.
