Hello Everyone, I know I haven’t blogged in centuries but I am back. Hooray.
This week, I was assigned to do a story on local projects done by the Michigan Department of Transportation also known as MDOT. Summer means construction season so getting
b-rolls was not difficult. One of the projects was that MDOT is upgrading more than 700 highway signs to make them brighter and easier to see especially ay night times. The other project was that they are adding an auxiliary lane along northbound US-127 for cars to move on and off safer and smoother.
I spoke with the MDOT spokesperson Kari Arend who I want to thank for coming all the way to HOMTV station to do my interview. I also want to thank Rob Gingerich for a great advice on shooting Kari’s interview; “Do it outside since all of your shots gonna be outside.”I just never thought about doing an outside interview but now that my story is done, Kari’s interview flows well with all of my b-rolls.
