This past week, I was assigned to do a Community Connection story on Chef Mike. And it was my favorite story that I did this semester. The cooking class was held every Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm and I went to 3 out of 4 classes to get more footage and better soundbites.
Unlike other stories, I let him talk. I fell in love with his personality and his sarcasm and I wanted viewers to feel the same way that I did. It was challenging to complete this assignment because it was Nat PKG and I had to make sure the story flow well. No wonder why HOMTV tells us to get tight shots……..TO AVOID JUMP CUTS!!!
All in all, I am content how it turned out and I hope viewers enjoy watching him, kids, and his classes!
