September marks National Preparedness Month and I had an opportunity to talk to Stockbridge resident Tom Ford about his experience on preparing for natural disasters. I want to thank him for letting me interview him at his house. We never met before but talked once on the phone and he still agreed to do an interview. When I got to his house, he had pictures, books, and other reference materials to show me on the dining table. He even offered me a cup of coffee. I was just shocked how nice he was to me and I truly appreciate his effort to give me the best information he could give to a stranger from East Lansing.
