This week I covered my first swim meet at Okemos High School. Okemos matched up against Jackson and ended up winning the meet.

Shooting swimming is difficult. Since I know nothing about the sport, it was hard keeping track of what event was taking place, how many laps the girls had left and who won.
I eventually was able to follow what was going on, made sure I listened to the announcer saying what event was next and who the winners were.
It was a challenge deciding where to film from to get the whole pool in my shot. I tried to start by showing the entire pool at the beginning of each event, and as certain swimmers went ahead, I focused on them.
Overall it was a learning experience, but interesting nonetheless.
