Getting to Know You!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Herasanna Richards! I’m a 19 year old sophomore at MSU, my major is Communications with a specialization in Public Relations, I’m one of the Publicity Mangers for the MSU Vagina Monolouges, and lastly, I’m one of the newest Promotions and Marketing interns here at HOMTV!!

Coming to HOMTV has definitely been part of a huge life changing experience for me! As of May I completely changed my major, which was formally Music, and left behind 10 years of  working towards the life of a musician. I always knew that I wanted to have a profession where I could work hands on with people and make communication a priority. Music didn’t allow me that outlet. With that decision, I decided to make the change. Now as a communications major and an intern at HOMTV I couldn’t be happier. I’m doing what I love everyday and learning in an enviroment where what I do makes a difference, and I can apply it later in my career.

For future goals, I’d love to work at a major news organization as a PR Specialist! I’m hoping for NBC, but I know to always be open to anything because the perfect experience may be the one that you may not have been expecting! I know if I aim high and work hard, all things are possible. I’m so grateful for all the experiences, opportunities and people I’ve been blessed with so far, and I can’t wait to make the most of what life has to offer! I can’t wait to get started at HOMTV!

She also is very interested and involved in theatre, dance, music, and social activism, especially issues pertaining to youth, diversity, and women's rights.
