On a cold, rainy, Sunday morning I headed out to Forest Akers Golf Course to film the Big Ten Cross Country Championship. Despite the nasty weather, it was a good event.

I didn’t know when I arrived at the meet that I myself would also be running cross country. Filming cross country as a one woman band was a difficult and tiring task. Nonetheless, I figured it out.
As I roamed the course I saw photographers from the Big Ten Network and other news stations with multiple crew members spread around the course. I quickly realized this was to avoid literally running from place to place with camera equipment to catch the runners going by.
All in all, the meet went well. And hey, I killed two birds with one stone–an assignment and a workout!
