This was my second time at the center. First I went for the ribbon cutting ceremony a few weeks ago, but this time it was for the actual opening. I spoke with Lance Langdon, the Director of the Ingham County 911 Center. He said that every day is eventful. He let me go into the call center. It was interesting to see all that goes on behind emergencies and the different dispatcher’s jobs. There are stations for fire, police, warrant checks and call takers. This time I got footage of Lance working at his desk on the computer and doing paperwork. I wanted to not only focus on the 911 call center, but also behind the scenes and what goes into making the business run.
