If there’s one thing that Michigan knows how to do, it’s torture its residents. I am not a fan of the heat that summer brings, but I loathe the humidity. Last Saturday was not especially hot, but it was definitely humid. And lugging around heavy equipment is not fun anyway, but humidity makes it worse. Last Saturday I shot footage for the Summer Farmers’ Market promotional video. From July-October the Market is open Wednesdays as well as Saturdays, so I filmed some of the action going on during the busy Saturday.
There were a ton of people there browsing the variety that the market has to offer, including fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, and baked goods.
Another selling point of the Farmers’ Market is the Purple Carrot Food Truck. There was always a line in front of the truck that was serving fresh, locally grown meals. I’m in love with the Farmers’ Market, and I can’t wait to visit it this summer when I don’t have 20 pounds of equipment with me.
