Homecoming night was suppose to dry but the rain didn’t seem to dampen the spirits of the Viking faithful. They were energetic and excited before, during and long after the game. I did my best to keep out of the way and try to stay ahead of the action. Some times the grass was slippery but I managed to stay upright through the entire game. The players were polite and let me through whenever I needed to change ends of the field. Wet or dry, I’m always happy when the guys play fair and give their best. I saw players helping others up no matter the jersey. They were all tired. The fans on both sides were great and there was good interaction in the parking lot after the game. Made it a good night.
