These last two weeks at HOMTV have not only been busy, but definitely exciting. It started off with making a promo to advocate residents to keep fire hydrants clear of snow in the winter, so of course I throw eyes on one and make him my new friend. While most people would just film their promo and get it over with, I actually had a lot of fun doing it, and I get to pass my new friend every day when I’m coming into the station.
The week continued as regular, editing stories and having things ready for Meridian Magazine or News Now, when I got a call from Erin about an amazing opportunity. President Obama was coming to East Lansing to sign a farming bill and she was asking me if I wanted to help film it! Lots of my friends were jealous since it’s not everyday that you get to be in the same room as the President. It was definitely a moment I will never forget, and I even have it on tape! Who would have guessed that being at HOMTV would give me this opportunity. I can’t wait to see what’s in store later in the semester!
